Another documentary I want to see: “Catching Hell”.
This documentary is on my list of things to watch. Fave quote from article: “sense of place and collective memory, while intangible, are critical components of strong sustainable communities”.
John Waters on Wait Wait…Don’t Tell Me!
One more reason to wish for BBC.
The BBC have announced they’ll be airing a tribute special to Elisabeth Sladen.
The special, titled My Sarah Jane: A Tribute to Elisabeth Sladen, will air this Saturday on UK’s CBBC channel at 6:45pm, directly after Doctor Who finishes on BBC1.
Though she doesn’t specifically state John De Lancie (aka Q in Star Trek: The Next Generation) will appear in Torchwood: Miracle Day, producer Jane Espenson has confirmed via Twitter that the well known actor has joined Torchwood.
I am really looking forward to seeing this film…who knows where or when. Helen Hill’s way of life is inspiring, to me.
I had one of these for family/fun use, and it was pretty good. It wasn’t great, especially with my shaky hands. A reminder of how digital technology is so fleeting.
I just saw this episode of Wagon Train on Saturday. Granted, I wasn’t able to watch the entire thing, but I tuned in right around the end, when Wooster gives an amazing pep talk to a ghost girl about death and dying. This dialogue, minus a few sentences about god, articulated what I have been trying to explain to myself for years. The special effects, cinematography, acting, and writing make for some amazing television that holds up to the test of time.
