In Her Voice: Jacqueline Kennedy, The White House Years
Today, the Kennedy Library opens a new exhibit highlighting Jacqueline Kennedy’s 1964 oral history interview. 
 
Sealed for 47 years and scheduled to be published today  is a series of wide-ranging conversations with historian Arthur Schlesinger, Jr.
In Her Voice will feature excerpts from these conversations, presented alongside the objects, documents, and photographs that chronicle the events Mrs. Kennedy describes.

JFK - 22 years old in London at the start of World War II
On September 3, 1939, Britain’s Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain announced that England was at a state of war with Germany.  Two days earlier, German troops had invaded Poland in a massive air, sea, and land attack.
At the time, Joseph P. Kennedy Sr. was the United States Ambassador to England.  Here, three of his children, Joseph Jr., Kathleen, and John, arrive at the House of Parliament in London to hear Prime Minister Chamberlain’s declaration of war.
